I've wanted to do one of these 'redraw an old piece' things... I know there are templates around that are made specifically for this, but i couldn't really be bothered
I chose this one because it is still one of my favorite pieces I've ever done. I am still kind of muddling through using watercolors, and I actually like the original piece's hair better, but it was still fun doing it. I've moved away from really sharp noses and big eyes, and am more comfortable with using pink tones on skin, apparently. Also, the original's skin shading was done with color pencils on a flat copic base, while the new piece was entirely copics.
I like to imagine now that she is a space princess with star-bending mind powers that is growing into her destiny as queen of a galaxy shhhh

THis is very interesing and awesome to see, I love this 're-draw-thingyies'
you turned out very nice and one can see a lot of improvements, but mostly if you ask me more of style change and more cool/pretty background/details (so NICE!!!)
but ...the first original one is just as Beautiful tho, I think it's VERY WELL draw too, so BOTH are just aw Beautiful but in there own ways.
